Admission Requirements

Students applying for graduate studies at Nile University must demonstrate a knowledge of English adequate study in that language. Applicants, are therefore required to sit an English placement test to help decide their levels in listening, reading and writing. It tests their ability to understand native spoken English, and the ability to read critically and write proficiently in order to help in the process of researching and writing material in an academic written format.

Candidates can either apply for the (Ibt) version of the TOEFL test at a certified testing centre and must attain a score of not less than 61, or sit the Nile University proficiency test.

Dates for the test at Nile University are specified below.

  • Deadline for Applications for spring 2010: December 31st, 2009
  • English Admission Test Dates:
    November 17th, December 22nd, 2009.
    January 5th, January 19th, February 9th 2010.
  • First day of Spring 2010 Classes:February 21st, 2010
