The Business School at Nile
University is seeking qualified applications for vacant faculty positions in
Finance and Economics, at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.
Selected applicants will be teaching in the MBA and undergraduate Business
programs, participate in the school's executive training activities and maintain
an active and continuous research and publication record. Relevant practical
experience in business and work/travel in the Middle East is an added asset.
Term of Appointment
Two or three year appointment on a tenure track position starting September
2008. Renewal of contract is subject to appointed faculty performance and school
needs. Applicants must submit, electronically or by mail the following

School of Communication &
Information Technology (CIT)
CIT School at Nile University invites
applications from outstanding candidates for several tenure-track positions in
the School of Communication and Information Technology. While we are happy to
consider candidates in all areas, the school is particularly seeking strong
candidates in the following areas: communication, signal processing, networking,
electronics, software engineering, security, and informatics. Applicants must
have a Ph.D. degree and outstanding academic credentials. Successful candidates
will be expected to develop a vigorous externally-funded research program, show
leadership and excellence in academic and scholarly activities, and demonstrate
a commitment to excellent teaching at the graduate level.

accomplishments,

servers, Windows XP and Windows Vista).
- UNIX environment (SUN Solaris,
Linux)
- Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN
installation and troubleshooting).
4. Administrative Assistant:

Performs a wide variety of typing
assignments which are sometimes confidential in nature.

Operates personal computer to enter
data, draft, edit, revise and print letters, tables, reports, and other
materials.

Provides administrative /
secretarial support for the department

Establishes, maintains, and updates
files, databases, records.

Arranges meetings and conferences,
edits and distributes agendas and minutes of meetings, schedules
appointments.

Orders, stocks, and distributes
office supplies.

Performs basic, routine bookkeeping
functions, which may involve simple billing and cash receipt activities.
Basic Qualifications

- The incumbent performs original and copy cataloging
and adapts online records for print & non-print materials and for
monographs & serials in Arabic & English.
- Searching bibliographic utilities for bibliographic
and authority records.
- Scanning journals, bibliographies and the internet
for pertinent new titles and acquisition sources for Nile University
Library
- Preparing purchase orders for library materials.
- Checking in books online and sorts incoming materials
into appropriate cataloging.
- Charging and renews books and materials loans for
library users using automated library system.
- Assembles and compiles a variety of information data
for reports, studies and other purposes.
- Developing bibliographic lists in fields of interest
for Nile University
Basic Qualifications
1.
B.A. degree in Library Science is required
2. At
least three years of working in an academic or research institution
involved in cataloging work
3.
Good Working Knowledge in English is required
