The Center for Innovation and Intellectual Property shall act as a catalyst for the promotion of creativity and innovation in the community, and create awareness among researchers of the tenets and importance of recognizing and respecting intellectual property rights.

The center will be responsible for:

·        Setting policies within the university community for intellectual property rights.

·        Taking a leading role in identifying intellectual property coming out of research projects and students theses.

·        Supporting faculty and students in filing for invention disclosures and patents.

·        Assisting in licensing university developed innovations.

·        Marketing patents and IP generated at Nile University to potential beneficiaries.
