I. Scholarship Policy:
NU offers a variety of scholarships to full-time Egyptian students for their first year of studies at NU as detailed below. Scholarships in subsequent years will depend on students’ GPA at NU as shown in the table in item III below.

Egyptian Youth Scholarships:
The University offers 25% tuition scholarships to all accepted applicants for the duration of their studies.
Merit Scholarships:
A merit scholarship will be offered to academically outstanding students based on their high school Score, as outlined in the table below.
President’s Scholarships:
The University offers this additional scholarship for the first year to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic and extra curriculum performance at the high school level.
Maintenance of the President’s scholarship beyond the first year will depend on the students’ academic and extra curriculum performance at NU.
Faculty Scholarships:
An additional 15% reduction in fees will be offered to sons and daughters of full time faculty members in Egyptian universities, public or private.
Excellence in Sports Scholarship*:
A maximum of 5 slots are available for national accomplishments. Priority is given to the top two first places in national sports competitions. A 20% reduction in tuition, in addition to existing scholarships applies.
To maintain the sports scholarship, students must be in good standing (GPA 2.0 or higher) and maintain their sports achievement throughout their study years at NU.
The table below summarizes the amount of Egyptian Youth scholarships and merit scholarships that students could be getting based on their high school Score and the remaining tuition that needs to be paid in every case during their first year of study.

II. Maintenance of Scholarship:Regardless of the freshman year scholarship type and percentage, except for president’s and sports scholarships, the scholarship percentage in subsequent years is dependent on the student’s cumulative GPA at Nile University as per the table below. President’s and Sports scholarships have their own maintenance rules shown above. Scholarship percentage is determined in the summer of each year for students who will register in the following fall and will apply to the whole year including the following summer (September to August). Scholarships may change from one year to another based on the student’s cumulative GPA at the end of each academic year as explained earlier and shown below.
