Nile University will serve as a beacon of innovation with a goal to accelerate development, transfer, and implementation of technology to the public and private sectors, thereby enhancing the research and development (R&D) capabilities of local industry and improving their international competitiveness. The Centre for Research and Development will focus on developing collaborative large-scale interdisciplinary research and create strong partnerships with government and industry.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Incubation shall harness technological know-how of specific products, train the necessary staff, and assist in launching new business endeavors bringing the incubated technology to market. It will also help students interested in starting up their own companies by linking them to venture capital funds, as well as helping them in marketing their new startup companies.

The Center for Innovation and Intellectual Property shall act as a catalyst for the promotion of creativity and innovation in the community, and create awareness among researchers of the tenets and importance of recognizing and respecting intellectual property rights.
